The formation of Octo&Shark comes from a very strong friendship. Alex and Bela crossed paths before high school and realized very quickly that their interest for music was the same. They then decided to start producing music together and it led to the creation of Octo&Shark.

Their journey began in the “Free Party” rave scene in the south of France, where they grew up. Octo&Shark have been true machine lovers and old-school record diggers for over 10 years. While Bela was studying computer programming, Alex started travelling all over the world. They kept sharing their work through the distance and learned how to profit from this challenge. Bela was mastering his technique in sound design, while Alex was taking in all kinds of new influences from all around the globe. Every time they would meet up, they would then spend days in studio producing together.

Bela moved to Brussels a few years ago and immediately joined the Techno scene there. He started to appear for Global Hybrid records. Alex kept finding gigs on the road, playing in New Zealand, Thailand, Australia, California , India, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico. In September 2017 Drosssel the Label from Berlin released their Debut track «Bruxellas à Minuit», coming from a collaboration with Salvador Araguya. In 2018 Alex joined No Limit Soundsystem on their American Tour and had the opportunity to play at the Tribunion Festival in Mexico last February.

Octo&Shark build their live music with their full intuitiveness as they carve raw material from synthesis. Each live performance lies between strong grooves influenced by house music and cinematic hypnotic sounds of techno. Their passion and creativity continues to move to higher levels and their journey in the techno world has only just begun!
