I am MARQUEE
I’m from a city between Osaka and Kobe, in Japan’s Kansai region.
My uncle was a crazy vinyl collector, which meant I was exposed to an incredible amount of music from a young age.
It was thanks to him that I eventually became a DJ—though I’ve since retired from that life.(Though I’m retired as a DJ now,)
The recent City Pop revival has been a wonderful experience, taking me on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Back to the days of endlessly spinning my uncle’s vinyl collection.
Back to the days of obsessively recording FM radio programs.
Back to the days of digging through crates at record shops.
With those memories in my heart, I’d love to share some of the amazing music I’ve discovered along the way.
