Possibly my final set in 2020, have a peaceful end of year and a good turn into 2021!

The set is simple, of low sound quality and the mixing is at a minimum. Nonetheless is was a matter of the heart to craft it.
Please find some background information and the tracklist bel.

some background info on the set:
I was raised in the western part of Germany (FRG), and little was known about the punk scene in the GDR at that time. This subculture was very different from the punks at the western part of the wall, instead of 'No future' it was 'Too much future' in the predetermined life of an average citizin, in place of criticism of the church the churches were the only hideaways from State Security (Stasi), and while in places near the border western radio such as John Peel's music could be received, hardly any music from GDR reached the west. Their equiment was very poor, and music studios were not avaiable (at least not for them), so the material was often recorded live or with restricted means such as tape recorders in the own flat.

Few tracks of Menschenschock and Müllstation were transmitted in a FRG radio station in 1982, and before Nov 1989 (the turnover) afaik only 3 albums managed to be published in the ẃest:
. 'DDR von unten' (1983), split by Zwitschermaschine & Sau-Kerle (cover name of Schleim-Keim)
. 'Panem et Circenses'(1986) by KG Rest
. 'Made in GDR' (1987) by L'Attentat

Punk in GDR is a history of passion, improvisation, treachery, subversion, repression, spying and expulsion from the state. Sometimes the closest friend turned out to be an IM (Inoffizieller Mitarbeiter, unoffizcial collaborateur), which occasionally ermerged only after the political turnaround. Sascha "Arschloch" Anderson from Zwitschermaschine and Imad Abdul Majid from L'Attentat are prominent examples.
While in the very beginnings the subcultures were still under radar level of Ministry of State Security ("Stasi"), as proven by the words of Stasi chief Erich Mielke, soon the repression against the punks started, and in the 2nd half of the 80s Stasi even started to ensnare the punk scene, allowing bands that have been "registered" ("eingestuft") to play in public and to pubish records. These bands were called "The Others" (die Anderen), and the first radio show "Parocktikum" with "other" bands aired on 27 Mar 1986 parocktikum.de/playlist.php?Da...atum=1986-03-27.

All bands showcased in this sets refused this tempation. The sets starts with a selection of the sampler "Too much future" recently released on Major Label. In the 2nd part (> min 53:11) tracks from the 3 albums mentioned above, and it closes (> min 67:40) with couple tracks from Schleim-Keim, maybe the most iconic GDR punk band.
