Sounds of Marcus Watkins

DK's Sounds ENT   ))   Detroit, MI, USA

With time comes wisdom and with wisdom comes experience. Known for his trippy Chicago Jackin’ House sound back in the day, Marcus has transformed from a rolling ball of fire to a shooting star that ignites the skies with possibilities, exploring the deep universe of deep and melodic sounds of Deep House, Deep Tech and Amapiano. His growth has made him tap into his spiritual realm to create compositions that would make his ancestors proud.

Marcus Watkins is an old school Midwest DJ , producer and founder/manager of former record label Random Access Recordings. Marcus was born and raised on the southside of Chicago and started DJing at the early tender age of 13. From small scale events to large outdoor festivals, Marcus has gotten his fair share of notoriety throughout North America and Europe in the late 1990’s and earl 2000s. This includes international tours in Canada, England, Scotland, and an appearance in Greece.

Marcus has shared the stage with many of House and Techno Elites. Due to family obligations and the disgust of what the underground electronic dance music had become at the time, he decided to retire.

After a long hiatus, Marcus Watkins has returned to contribute music to the world and join his new family of like minded souls at People of the Light Records and DK's Sound Entertainment (South Africa).
