DJ Waxy Wax

Dj Waxy Wax started his Deejay career while he was still in Primary School; he has been in love with music since he was a young boy. Inspired by watching and listening to mix tapes of known Deejay’s he decided to follow through with this love and become one himself. As time went by, he started playing at 21st Birthday parties, weddings, events, clubs. He had an opportunity to travel to the United Kingdom where he was recruited by the now deformed Joburg Project and grew his talent so much that he was headhunted by well known Deejay Crew and Event Organizers “Slickmanagement” and played throughout the country.

He was later recruited as a news presenter at Mzansi Jams. That was when he made his television debut, due to family matters he had to return back to South Africa. That was when he made his name in Pretoria. Waxy Wax has a played at various clubs around Pretoria and also other Provinces, to name a few, Zanzu Night Club in Hatfield, Co.Fi Brooklyn, Cappello State Theatre, Jack Budah, Mamelodi Groove Lounge, The Village in Mamelodi, House 22, Club ZAR just to name a few.

He has played alongside various top Dj’s namely: Oskido, Fresh, Euphonik, Kent, Liquid Deep, Vinni Da Vincci and Tokzen. Waxy Wax has made a stable name for himself as an upcoming Deejay and is doing very well at the moment. Dj Waxy Wax plays Deep house, Commercial house, Vocal, Deep Tech, Lounge/ChillHop/JazzHop and Tribal house. He is artistic in his art to a level where most club owners describe him as a younger version of DJ Kent.

He is also a radio Dj for the internet based Mzansi Urban Radio and has his mixes payed worldwide from internet based radio stations in the UK, USA & SPAIN and recently had his mix aired on Metro FM’s Urban Beat.
