Swiss-born DJ/producer MAQman began his musical journey as a keyboardist playing with live bands before starting his DJ career in 1998. Deeply influenced by classic Black music, his sound blends soulful, jazzy, funky, disco and deep house influences with an organic approach to both DJing and music production.
Following a 2019 tour across South Africa, where he performed in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, MAQman developed a strong connection with the country’s soulful house scene — an influence that continues to shape his musical direction today.
Now based in Saigon, Vietnam, he is a resident DJ for GOGO Music radio shows and contributor to Soul Jazz Funksters.
