Cross Fade Enter Tainment, or CFET is a label started in the 90s by Christoph De Babalon, Paul Snowden and DJ Raid. First based in Hamburg, then later in Berlin. To say the releases were in-between Hardcore, Early Breakcore, Acid and Experimental Electronics would be an understatement; CdB in a rare appearance on German TV in the 90s said the CFET releases are - in the end - "Auteur Music", and I wholeheartedly agree with that; beyond any genre or formula limitation, just pure experimentation, genuine, and genius.
Very influential, and pioneering, the label is well respected to this day, and can, for example, claim to have released the first vinyl outings of the Somatic Responses brothers.
This mix focuses mostly on the early raw days of this brilliant label.
