Cheech Marin with KUCR's Roberto Tijerina on the Riverside Chicano Art Museum

The world-famous comedian, actor, art patron, collector, activist and filmmaker Richard “Cheech” Marin visited KUCR studios last week to participate in a “Radio Aztlan” special interview segment, hosted by Radio Aztlan producer Roberto Tijerina. Marin discussed his passion for Chicano Art, it’s cultural significance and why the establishment of the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture and Industry (aka “The Cheech”) next to Riverside’s Mission Inn in the downtown area will be a world-class contribution to the region. Marin is currently raising funds for the project.
