Black Label X A multiple joint exercise involves several types of muscles. They are good because they allow greater amounts of weight to be lifted, but their weakness is that when one set of muscles tires you are effectively done. The bench press is a good example. You use your biceps, triceps, and chest Muscle Building. However, normally when you are doing the bench press you will tire when your triceps tire out. Your pectorals will still have some strength left in them as they are stronger and won't get the full amount of stimulation.
