BIO

It was in the early 90s when KAOTEE first discovered his love for electronic music. He read in the "Bravo" magazine about this Techno and Mayday thing and wearing a vacuum cleaner on your back while dancing to loud music in neon lights and lasers just sounded like a good way to spent the nights. At that time he took keyboard classes, but was already much more fascinated by the beats that came out of that old yamaha-keyboard, than by the chords his teacher tried to teach him over and over again.
He left classes and started producing techno and breakbeat music with software he could get hands on and managed to understand... well, without the help of some particular friends he would never have understood the concept of these things! He occupied his grandpas old mushroom basement with his equipment and spent countless nights, turning knobs, pushing buttons and shaking that basement. The word is that the basement still looks exactly the way he left it, with full ashtrays and parts of the equipment rotting there.
In the late 90s he went to every techno parade, rave party and house music event and there was no way back. At that time he bought some turntables together with a good friend and started DJing from there on. He kept on buying shitloads of Vinyl and played on every possible party. After some time he started to miss the possibilities to manipulate the sound as he wished to, due to the limitations of vinyl, and decided to spend his weekends rather dancing than spinning and to focus on music production.
Then, while living in Barcelona, by coincidence, he moved to a flat where a music studio was located underneath.
The guy running the studio turned out to be a hell of a musician, producer and friend and told him all the dirty little secrets.
And here we are almost 20 years later - KAOTEE is still producing "dubby but peaktime approved minimal deephouse music", as he likes to call it.
Catch him on one of his rare livesets and watch out for the KAOTEE releases!
