Music has always been a deep passion for JOnO. In his early years after getting a gift of an electric guitar from his father, he immediately began writing and performing dark and heavy music that could only be classified as metal, being influenced by bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Black Sabbath. Through the performances JOnO developed more of an interest in sound engineering and undertook a training course to learn the basics of recording and live sound production. In 1997 he moved to Germany and was intrigued by the Techno and Psytrance scenes and in the early 2000's, took to the decks and soon after staging private and underground events around Darmstadt & Frankfurt, playing mostly Psytrance or the occasional Tech House event. On returning to Ireland in 2007, relocating and updating his studio, Techno became JOnO's main passion. He developed many different styles and genres of Techno, including "Dark, Minimal & Deep Techno". JOnO has made appearances on many local, national & international sound systems and radio stations including Shankra Festival Switzerland, Energy Collective (Ireland) "Beat 102 103 (Ireland)", Radio Climax (Ireland), Mix Hit Radio / Resident (UK), Open Tempo FM (Ireland), Cubase FM (Germany), "Fnoob Techno Radio" / Resident (UK) In 2015 because of pure love and passion for techno JOnO began making his own productions and within the first two years he signed eleven EP's between 3 prolific record Labels, Dual Orbit Recordings (Italy), Subwoofer Records / Subwoofer Laboratory Italy) and Oxytech Records (Ukraine). JOnO has also released remixes and singles for special compilation Albums that are released on respective record labels. In late 2017 JOnO signed EP's with 2 new prolific labels, Limbo Records (Italy) and Naughty Pills Records (Hungary)
