This is "Smashing some pumpkins". The song is of course very Smashing Pumpkins inspired in basic sound and vibe. I think the title is probably pretty self-explanatory, but there is of course a story. I've been listening to a lot of older stuff lately and the Smashing Pumpkins are on my list. I have this demo version of their song "Drown" which I really like. It has a vibe to it, but all of their songs have some sort of a soundscape going on with them. I enjoy recording soundscapes but with the Pumpkins the guitars are driven by super-charged chorusing and vibrato effects that offer a certain spin to the sound. I've done some of that with this track which I think is very Pumpkins in general mood and as I said vibe. I've done this intentionally but I have injected myself into it as well. Most of my following is well aware that Nicole Fiorentino was the bassist in Smashing Pumpkins for some time, while of course she's my favorite sister as you all know and remind me often, I never really gave The Smashing Pumpkins much of a listen. I regret that because the music is very inspired, and I've gained some endless ideas for new non-Pumpkins related soundscapes I can compose in the future..

So if you're into "Smashing Pumpkins" or just into "Jeff Fiorentino", or any Fiorentino for that matter, we're all pretty awesome we think lol.. I hope you enjoy the track.... and as always CRANK IT UP!!!!! I do however highly recommend a good set of headphones for this one to take full advantage of the wide stereo sound. Cheers.... and stay safe out there... i.e. "Stay the FK home!!" :)
