Jeff Morena, whom through his DJ years has acquired the alias, The Funky Filipino, is the music producing & remixing mastermind behind his recording label, XTC Recordings. Born in Oakland, California, Jeff Morena has become one of the most innovative & individualistic icons in the house/dance music industry today through his own music & remixes, as well as astonishing crowds through his super clean mixes & DJ set selections.

Some of Jeff's remix productions include celebrity artists/performers: Manila Luzon (1st Runner Up of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3) & Jinx Monsoon (RuPaul's Drag Race Winner Season 5). Also in Jeff Morena's remix roster are San Francisco natives are: Gypsy Love, Kippy Marks, Drumspyder, Vahid & Parsa, Sheena Rose, and violinist/vocal duo, Fat Magic.

When speaking of Jeff's most influential production, it would definitely have to be "Disco Shit", which was featured on the mix CD, and in an article of, the winter 2009 edition of New Zealand's world reknowned electronic & dance music magazine, Remix Magazine. "Disco Shit" was hand-selected along with tracks from other artists such as: Late Night Alumni, Crystal Method, Norman Doray & Albin Myers, and Tom Neville.

Jeff Morena has been a DJ since 1991, mixing the earlier genres of house music, as well as 80's & 90's classic pop/nu wave/electro/freestyle, disco, old school, and hip hop & R&B. Jeff spent his initial 10 years holding down residencies at every smash venue in central California, but since devoting his last 10 years strictly to his primary passion of house music, Jeff frequents numerous venues in The Bay Area, primarily in the cities he loves most, San Francisco & San Jose.

You can catch Jeff Morena spinning live every Friday or Saturday night at either: Splash San Jose (The South Bay's hottest house/dance LGBT nightclub), or Badland's Sacramento (The California capitol's #1 LGBT nightclub for pumpin' dance/house music). You can also catch Jeff Morena spinning live at several monthly events & festivals, including at world famous: The Endup & Ruby Skye in San Francisco, San Francisco Pride, San Jose Pride, Pride Night at Great America, GhettoDisco at The Beatbox, along with several other venues from Sacramento to Santa Cruz to Fresno.

Because of Jeff Morena's vast background of music, he has been able to throw down everything house/dance music on the decks from: remixed top 40 dance/pop/EDM/circuit anthems, funky disco/tech house, bangin' electro/progressive, 80's/90's/rock/Latin remixes, and decades of timeless house/dance classics. Jeff loves to take the dance floor on a journey through his years of living in a world of house music, by mixing various selections of some of his most memorable tracks of the past, with some of the exclusive releases of today, along with some of the rarest tracks/remixes from his own secret cache, all blended together along with his own productions and remixes.
