INFRA - INSIDE THE COLD MOUNTAIN EP

by INFRA

Berlin based producer INFRA's Cold Mountain EP is the culmination of seven years of relentless musical exploration and refinement. Known for his leading role in the German dubstep scene and his deep, powerful music, INFRA delivers yet another quality release on F4TMusic.

INFRA combines artifacts from long lost technologies with hidden knowledge on sonic mastery to produce amazing pieces of electronic music. Prepare for earth shattering bass drops and synth stabs from the unknown; these tunes are to split mountains in half if not to simply obliterate them.

The title track "Inside the Cold Mountain" is sure to bring mayhem on the dancefloor with its incredible pressure and sense of space. Next, "Propulsion" shows INFRA's exceptional skills with both intricate drum programming and sound design. Finally, there is "Rogue", a stomper which closes the EP with a powerful and stylish blow. Already garnering support from the likes of Von D, Phaeleh, DFRNT, Crises, and Bunzer, as well as plays on Rinse FM, it's clear that with this EP, INFRA is confidently moving forward and gaining even more recognition. This is surely not one to be missed.

Selected Quotes:

Von D: Deep, Haunting and experimental but this will still damage the dance on a good sound system, good to hear a fresh release like that.

Crises: “I was playing that tune Cold mountain on headphones the over day, and I was like “Oh my god, Oh my god this is ridiculous!”

J'aime Le Dubstep (now High On Beats): Plowing onward with dominating bass weight, an impeccable sense of groove and horrifying atmospheric tension, This EP demolishes everything in it’s path. While nothing revolutionary for the genre, it certainly does a great job of driving the point home. An excellent re-assertion to any doubters that dubstep isn’t fading away anytime soon.
