Rob Bliss "Listen to the Sunshine" EP

by Highly Swung Records

Originating from California's underground music scene in 1996, Rob Bliss went on to host the Central Coast region's first regular radio broadcast showcasing the cutting edge sound of jungle in 1997. He grew a reputation from Los Angeles to San Francisco, earning spots in a number of local DJ crews, including LA's Jungle Voodoo Collective, whose young ranks included a number of now-prolific beat makers known around the world.

The EP, although a multi-fused house garage & breaks genre & experimental, it demonstrates many dance influences from Rob's career, especially the rave & breaks elements that we all love. Its is a joy to hear then put together so so well for this release.
"Sunshine" provides us a unique, experimental & edgy underground groove while "My friends went raving without me" actually makes you feel glad Rob's friends did or he would'nt of produced this excellent 4x4/breaks hybrid that captures the ravey vibe so perfectly.
To complete the package "Projection One" putting that classic Amen break to great use, incorporating a more heavy weight Jungle style bassline with essence of intelligent DnB - We love this release!
