This album / mixtape hybrid was an exercise in experimentation, my business partner of my studio Whyte Wulf Studios made an off handed comment / joke, that I should record a trap album under the moniker "27 $AVAGE". Well what turned from a joke into a reality when I hit 1# on reverbnation on their local charts, and number 21# on their regional charts. I said hmmm let me develop this further, This album was born from a simple off handed humorous concept. The lyrics for this project were a collection of material written in Los Angeles & New Mexico, respectively.
Some of it written in Hotels with seedy females, some in a shit hole of a slumlord styled room in the seedier parts of LA. This really was the perfect opportunity to try and test out a new sound, really hope you guys dig it, they're are some collabs based off some remixes that you see here , when I used the term "remix", I mean it in the sense of a remix of beats that I made, I hope this alleviates any confusion to the listener (you)!
I know the quality is hit or miss, as most of these were recorded in either nearly condemned houses in LA or other nefarious places in NM!
This genre I have tentatively nicknamed "Alien Emo Trap",
Exploiting the trap beats with a more lyrical poetic styled 3rd eye lyricism.
