Lantern Mule Recordings

Owner: Intercommunal Signal Network

Lantern Mule Recordings started as a shared problem with a practical answer.

The imprint was organized by a loose collective of country-folk musicians living outside Raton, New Mexico—players who rehearsed together, shared vehicles and gear, and moved through small rooms, VFW halls, bars, and outdoor events across northern New Mexico, southern Colorado, and west Texas. Most held day jobs. Touring was short-range and intermittent. Records were made to keep the work moving, not to build a catalog.
