Music and sounds of dDadaism

In the early Twenties, when dDadaism began his career, the country’s dance music scene was not what it was today. Being from a small town called Nagpur, There was little money and almost no access to the technology that powers shows today. Few DJs had access to vinyl and dDadaism’s love for it, which began with his parents’ collection, continued well into his DJing days. He would often be seen carting his heavy, extensive collection of vinyl to every gig, clearly intent on providing his audience with more than just a rookie pitch blend.

dDadaism has come a long way since then, his brand of funky, tech sounds and techno beats leading him to performances at some of the best clubs in India. Now the Mumbai-based Producer/Dj, also produces music for radio ads, shows and documentary films. In recent years, he started his own Techno podcast show called "Dark Side Of Techno" and mixing of the hit "Sunburn On Air" podcast show along with No.1 House Dj In India Anish Sood. Which are available on all leading digital platforms.

dDadaism, who is known for his inventive style that blends techno and deep house, draws from a range of rock bands including Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Says, “Shaping or finding your own sound can be quite difficult in the beginning especially when you appreciate a lot of different styles. I think dance music is headed wherever we take it, we all have been influencing each other with our own unique and special sounds.” With a background in music dDadaism's production is heavy on melodies and incorporates a variety of instruments. Says, “My best results come from improvising on keyboard, playing around with loops and synths until something catches my ear. I like to play like I am partying with everyone.” The artist who devotes ten hours a day to producing music, likes to spend his down time listening to artists such as Dasha Rush, Julian Jeweil, Dehix, Bart Skils and others. He is already working on his debut album, slated to be launched next year. Adds, “I try to stay away from the trend as much as I can. In my opinion, deep house has already turned into something else just like progressive house did. I really hope this doesn’t happen with techno.”

Speaking about his performances, he adds, “I usually like to feel the vibe of the city and maybe get a chance to check out the venue for a sound check to understand and imagine what type of sound I want to play.”
