Dreadnaught is a 34 year-old life-long musician and avid music lover residing in Fort Worth, TX. He has an extensive background in instrumental music performance and theory, with an affinity for any brass instrument. His move into DJing came following his move to TX and introduction to the area’s vibrant underground house and techno community. He draws his influences from that classical background and the extremities of that music community. His tastes in music are incredibly diverse and are evident in both his sets and overall versatility. In sets he seeks sounds, rhythms, and harmonies that are unique and often stark in contrast. His preferred genres include indie dance, deep house, tech house, dark techno, and a sprinkling of instrumental and choral flavors. He seeks to make audiences open their ears and minds to sounds with a different and unfamiliar flavor, while ensuring to keep crowds engaged with infused vocals and rhythmic consistency. While he has a penchant for dark and heavy effects, he largely pushes tracks that convey a sense of beauty with that energy.
He has spent the last two years in an effort to better connect the region’s house music community collaborating with some of the area’s most recognized promoters on events in support of both causes and just having a great time. His own promotions have been branded under Panther City Productions (PCP) focusing on a series of events throughout Fort Worth in parks, clubs, bars, and private venues aimed at fostering a community of like-minded music lovers.
