This podcast episode focuses on so-called anti-gender narrative coalitions. Our guest Eva Svatoňová, the Czech expert on far-right ideologists and their anti-gender narratives, describes these coalitions as “a lot of different people with different agendas, and they organize against so-called gender ideology. This coalition consists of religious fundamentalists but also neoliberal economists, far-right ideologists, homophobic organizations, and online masculinists. They organize against feminist and LGBTQ+ politics.”

Our second guest, Lucie Čejková, will explain the difference between propaganda and disinformation in Czechia and Slovakia. Magdalena Musilová, our third guest, will focus on the situation in Slovakia; she will touch upon the role of the Slovakian politicians in spreading those narratives and disinformation and its impact on the position of the local human rights defenders.
