You may have heard him rocking the beats Friday nights on Capital fm. Maybe you’ve experienced him spinning in East Africa’s hottest clubs. He has electrified crowds in the major East African cities including Nairobi , Kigali, Mombasa, Bujumbura and many more.
DJ UV was raised in Nairobi. After having been introduced to the wonderful world of DJing , his passion and excitement for music catapulted him onto the fast lane to success.DJ UV plays across genres however HOUSE music has always been his first love. From Afro house to Deep House to
Progressive and Electro. This has seen him turn-tables practically at every decent club in Nairobi, from the Carnivore & Black Cotton to Brew Bistro Nairobi & Mercury Lounge.
Having learnt the tricks quickly from his mentors at the time, DJ UV eventually joined one of Kenya's most celebrated djing outfits 6:AM early 2008,rocking parties at Pavement, Black
Cotton, Horseman, BlueTimes among other venues.
He later on teamed up with Vinsky and Vapour to form Turbofunk Djs- A dj unit.In 2009,he joined hands with Styles Angel ,showcasing Progressive House music on the radio show- Styles in Session –(Osijek ) Croatia
Its also in early 2010 that he teamed up with longtime friend ,Dj Protege and hosted the ONLY House Music Radio show in Kenya DANCE REPUBLIC on Capital FM .Summer 2010 saw DJ UV join the popular Dance Radio Global(Greece} where he started his own monthly Radioshow – RadioActive Sessions .
2011 saw him play at massive events in Kenya including Earthdance Nairobi
.Playing alongside heavyweights such as Amine Edge, Orli,Clive Bean,Deadbeat FM, Jahawi, Blush and
Bass, among others.
2012 had DJ UV headline several events in Kigali Rwanda and a massive NYE party at Bora Bora beach
Burundi churning out tunes that saw the party end way past midday. 2013 had DJ UV sharing the stage with celebrated DJ and producer Edward Maya .Definitely one of the most
memorable nights . DJ UV Capped the year in style with a 5 hour set on the shores of Lake Naivasha during the Hakuna Matata Festival.
Today DJ UV continues to be a strong force in the music industry as an international Radio/Club DJ. His unique style has enabled him to captivate any audience, whether it’s from the stage of a major event or from the booth of your favorite radio station.
