Liyema Morgweni, popularly known as DJ Liyema SA from Cape Town, is a talented South African Afro House and Deep House DJ who has defied the odds of being born with a condition called centronuclear myopathy. Although he is wheelchair-bound, he has developed remarkable skills as a DJ, inspiring many with his dedication and passion for music.
DJ Liyema SA’s love for music began at the age of nine, inspired by icons such as DJ Black Coffee and DJ Kabila. In 2025, he took his passion to the next level by enrolling at Bridges Academy to complete a professional DJ course.
Through his journey, DJ Liyema SA aims to inspire young people and those living with disabilities to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. His message is clear: anything is possible if you are willing to work hard, stay true to yourself, and trust God’s plan.
