Dimitry van der Plas, aka Mysterious D, is a true music enthusiast with a great passion for radio. In the 1980s, he grew up with his parents music, with the radio always on. Later, he began developing his own taste and became a big fan of house and dance music, which was still evolving in the late ’80s and early ’90s. He was constantly glued to the radio, recording his favorite shows onto cassette tapes so he could listen to his favorite music and mix shows on his way to school. His pocket money went into buying the latest dance compilations, and later he spent much of his salary on CDs and vinyl records.

In recent years, he has been actively creating mixes, something that fascinated him as a child when he first heard the Turn up the Bass mixes in the early ’90s.
