ABOUT DIBABA THEE GUY
Artistry seems to be more descriptive than Disc Jocking when it comes to the
vibrant and dynamic Dibaba Thee Guy. He hails from the modest town of
Vryburg North West, South Africa better known as the “Texas of South Africa”.
House music has been running in his blood since the first time he heard the
classic Toka Sessions way back in the mid 90’s. His interest in Disc Jocking was
expanded when he moved to Mafikeng and he eventually ended up in the
renowned capital of deep house Pretoria, where his forte was taken to greater
heights. During his 8 years in Pretoria, Dibaba Thee Guy had a slot on the TUT
campus radio station Top Stereo as a sports presenter and proceeded to co
hosting and preparing mega mixes, mostly Deep House for the Lunch Time
Affair show in 2008 also playing around night clubs in and around Pretoria,
Johannesburg and Bloemfontein.

ABOUT DIBABA THEE GUY
 Those that have had a taste of his genre commend him for unpredictable
style of play with the ability to move the crowd and to easily engage them
in singing along to his mixes while also taking them down memory lane at
any given time. His amazing track selection and different mixing styles will
surely leave you asking for more. His three top trades are Soulful Vocal
House, Deep House and Afro Deep House occasionally fusing in Afro Tech,
Deep Tech, Minimal and Techno.
 He started with a series of mix tapes to market himself by compiling
different House Genres and Mixing style entitled De ja Vu on Podomatic
which when you listen to them you will kind of understand why he chose
such titles. Made a remix of a song Titled Love is what we need by HOD5
from KZN and Charles Cooper from Baltimore in the USA.

ARCHIEVEMENTS
 Made it to the top 15 of Club 10 Tarven Competition 2015 and Represented
Free State.
 Won 3rd Price at the Set for peace on Mix Cloud 2015
 His Mix was 87th on Mixcloud soulful chat list on the September 2015
 Guest Mix on Metro FM Urban Beat March 2017
