Cryptographic is a talented Ukranian producer who joined the Delta9 Recordings family with his first single Substance / Double Dub.

Substance provides a high energy start to this collection. From the very beginning of the track, there is a tension introduced and carried through the intro.

Percussion flutters in shuffled rhythms, muffled voices bleed through reverb and slowly the kick drums filter upwards into oblivion....only to drop into a rough and ready groove punctuated by bass growls. Elements are added and build into a laid-back deep tune, ideal for both headphones and the DJ's toolbox.

The EP's second offering, Doubledub, is a slow burner filled with late night vibes and half-blurred memories. It spends its first minutes establishing a loose atmosphere, populated with techy rhythms and spatial effects. A snare drum enters and encourages the listener to nod, to follow this groove through the sonic smoke. Elements are introduced and withdrawn in a playful fashion, creating an interesting and provocative deep and minimal experience.
