Exclusive: Acumen - Love The Popo Vice

by Data Transmission

Formed by Antoine 'Acumen' Garcin in 2007, France based imprint Time Has Changed has since gone on to become one of its country's most prolific and consistent house-inclined labels, with releases by the likes of Andrade, Mihai Popoviciu and Acumen himself, very much an indication of the quality on offer.

Following a jaunt to Leena Music for his previous EP we’re excited to bring you the follow up to that release time through the Frenchman’s own Time Has Changed imprint. Whereas his previous ‘Mash’ release explored an array of different styles and timbres, this EP pulls no punches and carries itself with a truly assured, hard-hitting swagger.

Drifting through the various echelons that house music inhabits the ‘Love The Popo Vice’ EP varies in its approach from slow burning dance floor funk underpinned by an undulating bass line to peak time tech-house fraught with hypnotic melodies punctuated by hazy vocals that sporadically ensnare the listener.
