My good friend MF Machinist asked me to record a mix using his unreleased tracks. It was the kick up the backside that I needed to finally organise those tracks properly, after they had been wandering on various hard drives for months, years, or over a decade, for some. The end result is made of 59 unique tracks that I burnt onto CD mp3 (two copies). I recorded the mix in one take, sometimes playing two copies of the same track.
There are a handful of mistakes as a result (or more; it depends how critical you are). Many of those tracks are total bitches to mix (bpm fluctuation in the double digits, increase/decrease in tempo at the start/end, and the occasional stop-and-restart-not-quite-in-rhythm. The mix is raw as flute, just like the music in it.
Finally, the initial title was more explicit. The artist and I agreed to pacify it, hence the silly fluting name.
