Listen to the newest Schranz music and sounds.
Schranz is a term invented in the mid-'90s for techno with dark, distorted sounds. Inspired by Detroit techno but with fewer melodic elements, the original sound was a harder, uptempo (about 150 bpm) style. Schranz emphasizes percussion, often distorted, and uses heavily compressed, filtered loops.
