Born Bongani Masilela, Bongz Da Gigs was born in Lebanon (township in Tshwane). Bongz Da Gigs got into DJing to fulfil a life-long dream of sharing his love of music to the world. His sets almost always start off with Tech, Soulful, and/or Progressive leading to Deep House and Jazzy.

Bongz Da Gigs is certainly making his mark in the Club scenes and still striving to reach mainstream in the South African music industry having played along side Vinny Da Vinci, Positive K, Silly Bean, DJ Christos.

His mixing draws inspiration from Vinny Da Vinci, the late Iggy Smallz, DJ Christos and Lars Behrenroth. Other influences include Fistaz Mixwell, Kat La Kat, Lady Sakhe and DJ Buhle. The sky is the limit for this hard at work DJ who someday hopes to play in an international music festival.
