Sicelo 'BlaqEye' Nkomo was born in Jeppes Reef, Mpumalanga. He is of Nkomo ancestry. BlaqEye has two siblings, his younger brother, Sandile Nkomo and his older sister, Fezile Nkomo. His mother lives in Jeppes Reef and he comes from a family of 6 including his 2 nephews.

BlaqEye then moved to Kamhlushwa to further his studies at Sidlamafa High School, he studied from Grade 9 to Grade 11 and was forced to drop out due to no place to stay and no money to pay for basic school funds

BlaqEye started writing music at an early age. While at the age of (13) he started music production and recording with numerous upcoming artists. He has worked with Major League DJz, Abidoza, Aubrey Qwana, Senzo Afrika and others.
