This tune had it's genesis in 2007 - I had been tinkering with Reason 3 for a couple of months, and I timed a couple of tunes from 'Illmatic' at roughly half the tempo of the DnB I was playing then - so I found acapellas of this tune and 'NY State of Mind' and made my drum n bass bootleg versions of both.

I also recorded some scratches using the vinyl I had of 'Illmatic' - and made a bassline with the help of a fellow producer called 'Schultz' from 'Reasonstation', a producer's forum that I used back then.

I put an updated version of this at the start of 'My Tunes as MP3s' back in 2017, but until now I have not shared any version of this track as a 'standalone' tune, at least on this platform...
