Michael Stewart aka Beat Tribe is an electronic music producer and skilled DJ known for blending dark house grooves and breakbeats with atmospheric, experimental soundscapes. His music lives somewhere between the underground club and quiet, late-night listening, creating experiences that feel both physical and deeply personal. Emerging from his love of breakbeat and techno, Beat Tribe developed a style rooted in hypnotic rhythms, moody textures, and long-form storytelling

In 2012, his sound caught the attention of tech-house producer Omid 16B, who selected his remix of his classic progressive house track "The Game" as the grand prize in a Beatport Play remix contest and signed it to his Alola Records label, later releasing more on his other label, SexOnWax.

His second album Personality Disorder marked a turning point, revealing a more chilled and introspective side to his sound—expansive tracks that balance groove with emotional depth. Driven by the idea that music should connect body and mind, Beat Tribe crafts songs that invite listeners to lose themselves in contrast—light and shadow, stillness and pulse, structure and freedom. Whether through headphones or a sound system, his productions pull you into sonic worlds that linger long after the track ends.
