Xylen Roberts-Neuron Observer (Full Album; 2013)

by Avadhuta Records (Official Label For Xylen Roberts)

Originally released in 2013, Neuron Observer was one of my most accessible albums. An Animal Collectivesque mix of Neo-Psychedelic Alternative/Indietronic rock, art rock, chillwave, tropicalia, and experimental rock elements. Originally released on my old Telestic Records bandcamp before getting terminated by Bandcamp in 2018. While the songs are very good, the mixing was rather poor. as I didn't know about proper mixing/mastering in those days. I plan on remixing/remastering this and the album that came before it (2012's Jump Into THe Portals) one day when I have time. Both albums (as well as 2014's Expanding Squares) were reviewed by a number of music review sites and blogs at the time, including Equal Ground, Floorshime Zipper Blues, and more. Many of these sites seem to no longer exist because I can't find the original sites. However, lucky for me, I took screenshots of many of them, which are available in the following Minds post: minds.com/newsfeed/1073356810101678080. I will continue looking for the original sites.
