With the days of winter fastly approaching here in the Southwest US, Jesse Urban aka UL brings back the heat to the desert with Aerotek's newest release EP titled 'Can't Sleep'. This release we have been awaiting since the beginning of the label's formation as we feel that UL brings something fierce to the table in the continuous evolution of the label. This 3 track EP is not for the faint of heart as the natural progression of the label is definitely leaning towards the darker spectrum within the techno genre on this one.

Jesse's idea behind 'Can't Sleep' derives from those sleepless nights where those intricate insomnia qualities take over and the spontaneous imagination takes place to write some music. They say, that the creativity process cannot be forced, and if one knows immediately to which direction they want their project to go with that initial idea, that the flow of the project becomes self sufficient. We feel that UL's work on this release was designed with us in mind and we couldn't be any more proud to showcase his work.

All of the mixes bring something different to the table with the artist's own tailored style of production. UL's original brings uncut rawness with that gloomy feeling pouring out from the get. As the track develops and the energy keep building, the grit gets heavier and the emotions start to rise. By the time that sweet snare hits, you know you're in for a journey through the sleepless night of UL. Eddie Krystal Remix on the follow up perfectly fits with the progression of the release. Eddie which has been on a tear recently with his techno driven groove is something that we cannot get enough of. The bassline intertwines with that knarly kick so well, that along with the hats and percussion included give it a sense of sweet restlessness that continues in the insomnia mind. And then, we cannot even begin to describe what the outcome effect will be once one listens to the NxNW remix on the grand finale. We have here the epitome of industrial techno at it's finest! To date the hardest track Aerotek has put out to date. One word to describe it: FIERCENESS. Grab your copies now and drop them at your local after hours warehouse event
