Mike D.S.S aka “Dirty South Soulja”, aka “Mike Dust”, aka “censored” , aka “Lost Element” began his dj/producer career inspired by such seminal artists as Coldcut, Bomb the Bass, Simon Harris, Kraftwerk, Soulsonic Force, Egyptian Lover, Art of Noise, Paul Hardcastle and a host of other electronic and hip-hop pioneers. Electronic music fascinated him as a means of expressing raw emotion through beats, breaks and baselines.

When he was 10, he showed his first interests in music. He started to produce his own at age 16. Mike released his first official record in 1996 and received instant success. In 2002 a record lable Toptrax recognized his talent. His first publication can be defined as hardtrance/acid. While his career was proceeding further, Mike decided to choose a different musical direction. He started producing hard techno. The appearance of his first single called “Mike Dust vs Boris S – Bass” was the logical consequence. At the same time the label “Skull Tunes/Toptrax” began receiving recognition all over the world and Mike aided greatly in their success. In the meantime Mike produced remixes for artists like Boris S, Kraemer & Pogadl, Junior Jack and many more…while also doing his own thing.

Mike released many records on labels like Skull Tunes, Killaz. fm and many others, plus he released some DJ Mixing-Compilations. His tracks also appeared on tons of CD and DJ Mixing Compilations.

In winter 2007 he decided to stop producing only dance music and concentrate all his energy on hip hop music and beat making, back to the roots babe! As a DJ he played many events and in many clubs all around the world, as well as on radio stations (like the famous radio station “Sunshine Live”, during the last 10 years.)

Today, Mike is concentating on bringing quality music to all dance floors worldwide.

I’m pretty fly for a white guy… Peace out.
