The Story Behind Power Of Love

Power Of Love began life in the most unexpected way.

I travelled to Darsham, Suffolk, believing I was attending a poetry workshop. We were given just ten minutes to write a poem from the top of our heads, and Power Of Love was what I wrote.

What I didn't know was that the workshop had one final surprise.

I was invited into a recording studio and asked to perform my poem for the very first time. Having never recorded vocals before, I was understandably nervous. After a few attempts, the third take became the original recording.

Three years later, those same words and that original vocal have been transformed into Power Of Love (Raise Your Hands Remix)—a journey from a poem written in ten minutes to the music you hear today.
