From the early 80's when I first heard tracks by Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force, Planet Patrol etc I loved hip hop. back then, the planet rock sound was known as electro funk. Move forward a few years to the mid to late 80's tracks with James Brown samples started appearing. This for me is the golden era of hip hop. '87-'89, the classic years for me. Anyway, I stumbled accross these 4 edits here on Hearthis. 4 bangers form that 'golden era'. I never get tired of these tunes.
