Not long since we’ve celebrated our double release and four year anniversary at ADE, not even before the lights have dimmed... we’re back at it again, this time Yoram is dropping off bombs. Devilish with his production, Crossfrontier Audio label favourite Yoram has returned to notoriety with his latest offering the ‘Epoch EP’ - a trailblazing four track release due out mid November.

Neatly opening up with ‘Amaranthine’ the EP starts with the sweeter of the two original works; a steady 4/4 rhythm, melded with taught melodies designed to heighten even the most scrupulous of numbed clubbers into a trance – ‘Amaranthine’ is a fitting return for Yoram and sees his hard work in the studio pay off with a blast.
Few tracks gain momentum like ‘Epoch’, a warping and sonic behemoth that climbs through golden soundscapes. Yoram has spent time with this on the floor and teased it into sets with devastating effect... now it sees its full release. There’s always those moments when you hear something coming in on the floor, or in a mix, and you need to know what it is... ‘Epoch’ is one of those that the CFA family have been using in their sets as leverage to the next plateau. A formula of ethereal cords, meddling keys and just the right amount of kick - the eye of the storm.

There is a tendency with remixes to be ‘fillers’ on some label’s releases, so we hand-picked two artists that could add their own dimensions to Yoram’s originals. Adding the zest to ‘Amaranthine’ is Rhombus label owner Stefan Z who’s set for great things in the coming months. His remix is a perfect mixture of his own style and dance-floor flare, crafted specifically to get feet shuffling and heads nodding.

Finishing up with tackling the behemoth, the Amentia lads take the challenge of ‘Epoch’ dead on and nail it, this one you can feel bubbling away under your skin... enter vertigo. Slower to build, but fillers get killed on this one. The original has been dismantled and its cords galvanized, Amentia are one of the newest members of the CFA family, yet they’ve already gifting us some incredible tracks, and their remix of ‘Epoch’ is certainly nothing short of exquisite.
