this has nothing to do with what people nowadays call electro (which in my opinion is and was house music, which has always been made electronically and i never really understood why people started calling it electrohouse).
this is the REAL electro...and i wanna start with the year 1982 which is the year it really blew up with the release of Afrika Bambaataa's Planet Rock, a song that was a real game changer. I know there was Kraftwerk and other pioneers before and especially their Computerworld album from 1981 is really important for the evolution of electro but i think 1982 is the year to really start the electro craze.
