Lately I got myself Daytona USA for the Sega Saturn, and since I've been able to FINALLY WIN after 20+ years, I decided to celebrate by working on another Daytona mix!
This time I didn't go too cray on it as I tried to keep the main characteristics of the original tune while giving it a "remaster", "rearranged" spin on it :P

At the time I was very obsessed with this Japanese alternative rock band called Boom Boom Satellites and I particularly enjoyed their tunes a lot as they took rock sounds mixing them with electronica and big beats and I loved the shit out of them.
"Beat It" from the album "ON" was one of my favourites and I decided to slice it in FL studio and attempt to remix it.
Very raw and maybe lame and it shows: in a point there's like a tiny sudden cut and in general, it has a very basic structure. Sure time flies...
So, yeah: is quite a "gem" and since I been able at least to remaster it, here it is for you for your enjoyment.

This tune, other than being a concentrate of all I find awesome about old school disco house in general, is intended as the start of a new path in my career that will also feature prominently more original compositions aside of my usual remix activity, in way that my career can evolve further and improve my style more and more.
“Get Him To The Radio Tower” is the first step into this new path of inspiration. I hope you will enjoy listening to this tune as I enjoyed composing it.

Not only I got back in remixing Ridge Racer tunes again, but for this one I’ve had the honor to feature the one and only Dr. Halc, heavyweight from OverClocked Remix and man behind the awesome “Club Kong” album (which you can get here by the way: http://loudr.fm/release/club-kong/w7TTP).

This one is a radical Hip Hop style revisitation of the song “Disco Ball” by Hiroshi Okubo from the PSP incarnation of Ridge Racer, that we had complete in about 24 hours or so, by working together :D
