The mission of the blog is "promoting the faster 150BPM+ breakbeat hardcore and jungle sound". And that's exactly what I had in mind while creating this track for the album! It took FOREVER to capture the mood I was going for. But it finally came together to deliver the right atmosphere.

Oneplayz is a Polish producer who writes a lot of inviting breakbeat piano stuff (among other sounds). His "Rebel" EP features 2 original tracks in his quintessential style, both accompanied by vocalist Martyna Siermińska. It also has a handful of remixes, by Greg Sin Key, label owner Nefti, Neurygma, and Hypermotion (along with my Vitality remix).

I've enjoyed Oneplayz' tracks and the releases on Intensive Recordings for a while (there must be some real breakbeat mania going on over there in Lodz)! So I'm psyched to have been asked to be involved on the project.

Here is the Vitality remix of the classic vocal track 'Six Days'. This was done for the Kniteforce Records 20th Anniversary box set, called "Don't Die Wondering - 20 Years Of Kniteforce".

I was asked to do a "very very extreme" version of 'Six Days'. ...Jimmy J & Cru-l-t originally released 'Six Days' back in 1994. And it has been remixed countless times since then (well, 9 that I know of, aha). So if it was to be done again, it had to be "something truly bonkers".

The original version was designed as a short transitional piece (the 1st part of the clip). But for the release, I included an extra creation (the second part) called (Keep Movin' - Bonus Rush) which lets the acid line run in its own direction. Both pieces are combined to make the full-length (Endurance Mix), which is on the album. ...it's like a bonus track WITHIN a track!

This is the winning entry of Luna-C's 'Edge Of Madness' Remix Competition.
It was released on Kniteforce Again on 12" (KFA45) and on a compilation CD (KFACD22) in July 2008.

Vitality Remix (Breakbeat Hardcore)
Damon Fadjo’s Vitality remix wins because, well, Oh. My. God. This mix is so fucked up, from intro to outro, its total chaos. Its absolutely relentless. It contains all the things I love in hardcore, speed and energy, unpredictability, and funny effects and samples. I love the way the vocal has been twisted almost out of recognition, and the way the breaks don’t sit still for a minute. There is also a very appealing sense of malice and impending doom to it, with the low growling in the bass. The vocals seem to be almost like the very old skool pitched up style, only put to a modern use. Samples that slip out of time without messing up the flow, combining the original stab pattern behind the vocal…it even ends with a tortured voice saying “how am I supposed to decide?” – a thought I had many times while choosing the winner. Simply brilliant!
