Based in Malta, Owen Jay is a highly active dj and producer. In studio he regularly collaborates with Melchior Sultana, Brian James and Natan H, with whom he runs the alias & label Gauss . His attraction to electronic music took place in the early 90's which somehow led him to the Detroit sounds of UR, Metroplex & Peacefrog Records. Inevidently his dj sets feature a blend of Detroit, NY & Chicago house and techno. He has released music on staple labels such as Moods & Grooves, Underground Quality, Contrast-Wax, Deep Explorer, Metrolux, Minuendo and Hizou to name a few. In coming months, together with Melchior Sultana, he will be releasing another 2 Ep's namely ; August EP on Batti Batti and Star Gazing EP on Contrast Wax.
