"Valera Obuhov, aka VAO, was born in 1981 and grew up in the south of Russia in the city of Krasnodar, near the Black Sea coast, where parties with the participation of various stars of the electronic scene began to take place back in the 90's. Such as the KaZantip held in the Republic of Crimea from 1992 to 2013. Also bringing foreign artists such as Anthony Pappa to the "Kakady Club" in 2007. Оn July 20th, 2012, a party with John Digweed and Denis A took place in the Krasnodar nightclub "Sugar". It was during these years that he fell in love with electronic music and completely immersed himself in it. 1996 was the peak of the growing popularity of electronic music in Russia and the appearance of numerous top clubs and events. His musical taste was formed thanks to such artists as Anthony Pappa, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and many others. In 2017, he decided to start recording mixes for friends and various music communities, realizing that without music, our life is nothing but routine. To this day, he tries to please his friends with mixes in the style of progressive house and melodic techno, his favorite musical directions"
