TXÄI is the indigenous name of the next Urban Cosmonaut in this series, meaning: more than a friend, more than a brother, half of him lives in you and half of you in him, a fusion of artist and listener.
While listening to his mixtape – you fall in and out, back and forth, left and right between continents and tribes, expressions and sounds, beats and melodies. What started as a New Year’s Eve party playlist 3 years ago quickly became a journey into the world of mixing music. Eventually, this led to the birth of ‘CasaCaos’ – a musical collective of passionate, chaos­contaminated bodies channeling their exploration of music in an online label.
Many of the tracks in Urban Cosmonaut Podcast #12 are upcoming CasaCaos label releases, blended in with forest sound samples, an outtake of a Brazilian poem by Manuel Bandeira and a mosaic of a frenetic/acid/wet Txäi favourites, recorded at 4 am after waking up to the sound of silence.
