The month after I moved to S.F. and started working at Record Rack record store located at 18th\/Sanchez in S.F. This was when the rave scene was starting up and the DJs and promoters that were forming the scene were shopping at Record Rack. I made friends with many of them and got pulled into the scene to DJ for the underground parties that were popping up in the city.\r\n\r\nOne morning I went into Record Rack at 7am (before the store opened at 11am) to make some mixtapes by grabbing stacks of new releases that were on the racks and mixing them on the store's DJ booth set up. This was one of two tapes that I made that morning. I lost the master tape to this mix sometime over the past 35 years of moving around. I was recently contacted by Johanna Bernstein who had a collection of old early 90's mixtapes that she wanted to have digitized and shared in the SFDPS archives. She sent me two photos of the tape spines lined up. I saw two of my tapes in the collection. I was stoked to see that a copy of my lost tape was in her collection! Here is the lost tape. A mix of early 90's Techno and House.
