Thunderbuds

Thomas Hakkens and Phil Thijs, better known as DJ/producer duo Thunderbuds are 2 buddies on their mission to blow away any crowd.

Thomas & Phil aren't quite the same guys, while one is very prominent and empowering the other one prefers to stay quietly in the background.

This mysterious vibe between these guys leads to powerful and euphoric music and DJ Sets. They sure do have one thing in common! Their love and passion for music!

In the beginning of 2014 Phil Thijs (Then known as DJ PH!L, Hardcore artist) had an idea of setting up a DJ Duo with Thomas Hakkens (Then known as Mr. Jaytho, Allround DJ).

The two started brainstorming about this project: 'What are we going to do?', 'In what are we going to make the difference?', many questions later they came up with:

THUNDERBUDS

This name isn't just a name!

This is wat we are!

2 Buddies who want to blow away any crowd with a Banger of a set!

Before they did their first DJ set they spend much time in their studio to create own tracks, bootlegs & remixes.

Their first big production, a remix of 'LET IT GO' by Idina Menzel (known from the Disney Movie FROZEN) was played by several big artists on Tomorrowland, Summerfestival, and so on.

So the first step was set!

Many bootlegs and tracks later they decided to compete in a producer contest for DJ Mag. Their track 'Ready 4 Takeoff' ended second in this contest and gained exposure of some big artists, even Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (#1 DJ in the world) played this track in their radio Show!

Later on this track was released by the biggest EDM label in Australia 'Safari Records'.

Another big production from these guys is the remix they did for Tony Junior's EDM Circus. This track was chosen by Tony Junior himself as the best remix in a competition with 500 other remixes.

At the end of 2015 they are working together with some international artists so 2016 will be a year to watch closely on THUNDERBUDS!
