So I just made up my own version with more stuff going on in the composition and more of a dynamic feel that I can get lost in instead.

Actually, the original was so unsatisfying in its compositional content my brain just made up the remake's melody automatically as I was sitting on bed in a depressed state. Not because I didn't like it, it's quite the opposite: I loved this melody so much I just needed to make more of it. And I did.
Enjoy, peeps

They may have been able to sound better if I would have used female vocals instead but that was part of my challenge as a remixer and I believe I nailed the drop parts anyways.

Unfortunately using the soundcloud widget the snares in the intro part sound hollow and weird, this is caused by soundclouds bitrate reduction. I even wrote a forum enty about this issue.

But anyways it was a lot of fun extracting some nice melodics out of the original and then completely flipping the table to make an EDM track out of it using only the vocals. I really love remix contests where the genre isn't defined and the artists can do whatever they like to do

It all started in a car, my mother drove us home and I - bored as ever - listened quietly to the radio. Since I don't actually enjoy Pop Music that much I focused an analyzed what could have been made how in these tracks. And then it blew my mind: All this morphing from plucked EDM "Guitars" to fully playing Chordstacks is just the automation of one single knob: the Pluck knob. I needed to instantly try out wheather I was right with that guess and I was. So I ended up having some 25 seconds long test clip that actually sounded pretty good. A few days later - since I liked my work pretty much - I continuned to compose and shape and tried out some EDM elements - one week later this track was finally done. I just did some mastering and reworking afterwords but that didn't change composition or the idea.
