It's a special one for me as I don't typically play such a stylistically broad set. I'm a hard techno guy through and through, but a pillar of the Milwaukee techno community, Solomon Brown, who was a friend and an inspiration to so many of us in our small city was taken well before his time just a week prior to this performance.

Throughout I was overwhelmed with a sense of shock that someone who I had been dancing with and being a general goofball with just a few days prior was gone and as I came into my performance on this night the music I played and the expression that came out of me was a reflection of Sol's loss...I almost didn't release this mix because it felt and still feels very personal.

Tonight is the memorial performance for him at Bremenhain. God speed, Sol.]]>
