I've been meaning to upload this for a while, as it means a lot to me. From 2006 to 2009 I was feeling pretty damn uninspired by dance music in general - d&b was not exactly at a high point, dubstep was getting horribly screechy, hip-hop sucked, grime was had fallen off my radar ... and I hadn't even bothered seriously listening to house, techno or 4x4 beats for about 15 years. It was weird, looking back. There's only so much old school you can listen to.

Then I heard this mix, and came alive. I still remember listening to it and feeling so happy and inspired. I spent the next few years rediscovering house and techno music and all the 'post-dubstep' sound coming out of the UK and internationally. Good things eventually came around again, and for me this mix was a huge part of that.
