All of this is fed into a generator with phase modulation cranked to max, which is then fed through a distortion module (saturator), then into another distortion module (limiter). All I'm doing to change the sound is changing the value of the multictl :)

On a side note, I'd like to take a moment to explain what I plan on doing with "The Handle". I'd like to keep it as a hobby. Yes, I could probably make some money selling tracks, but I feel like that would take away from my current goal: to be a responsible producer who shows that free music isn't automatically "bad" music, who doesn't use samples he didn't create, who shares his knowledge so that our knowledge of sound can increase, who continues expanding on ideas that have been discarded simply because they aren't considered to be profitable/popular, who understands that not everyone can buy their samples (there's a sample pack coming later for exactly this reason), and who makes the music he makes simply because he loves making it (and if my followers enjoy it, that's a plus).

I started making minimal partly because I loved it, then really started messing with it when I saw an article online claiming that "minimalists have gotten bored". I set out to prove that claim wrong, and got into oldschool dubstep for exactly the same reason (another article saying it was dead.....they couldn't be farther from the truth). Wherever I see a lack of variety, I see a chance to show that the only thing holding producers back is themselves. Genres are simply categories used to help consumers find what they want. Without them, fiction and non-fiction books would be mixed together in libraries, and video games like Call Of Duty and Tetris would be grouped into one massive pile.

So why Fidget House for the special track? I started out listening to tons of artists like Crookers, Switch, Oliver $, Jesse Rose, Fake Blood, Hijack, Justice, Danger, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, The Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Mr. Oizo, and (the most influential artist on my style) Shadow Dancer. My favorite genres were (and still are) Fidget House, Electro House, 2-Step, Minimal, Tech House, DnB, Garage, Triphop, Glitch Hop, and Dubstep. But my all-time favorite has always been Fidget House. The skill required to warp, cut, and distort the vocals and synths always appealed to me, and the bat-shit-crazy activity of the tracks always got me dancing. So you can imagine my heartbreak when it essentially died around late 2010. I swore I would learn to make it (since most of my favorite artists had stopped producing it), not only for myself but also for those that enjoyed the style. I would later do the same for Industrial, Rhythmic Noise, Psy Trance, Electro Trash, Glitch Hop, DnB, and Dubstep.

Everything except the vocals is made 100% from scratch with SunVox. The vocals are from "The behind the scenes kinda stuff", a recording I uploaded a bit ago.
